New Books by Jim Jacob, author of A Lawyer’s Case for God:
A Lawyer’s Case for His Faith and
A Lawyer’s Case for the Resurrection
Attorney Jim Jacob has taken on the biggest case of his career: the case for his faith in Yeshua (Jesus) as the Jewish Messiah. Utilizing his nearly 40-years of legal experience, Jacob has written A Lawyer’s Case for His Faith to comprehensively present the evidence for the existence of God, as well as the historical validity of the Bible, and life, death, and resurrection of Yeshua, among many other topics. As he would do in a courtroom, Jacob anticipates and systematically refutes many of the rebuttal arguments often offered by skeptics.
Jacob understands first-hand the arguments of skeptics, as he was a Jewish atheist for the first 39 years of his life. It took years to dismantle the many walls that he had constructed against religion and Yeshua before he was able to believe that Yeshua was truly resurrected from the dead. He recognizes his previously flawed thinking by acknowledging:
“For most of my life, I thought that believing Yeshua lived and was crucified and resurrected was simply an idea created in the minds of individuals who needed to feel like there was a greater meaning to life. I thought it was illogical and unsupported by evidence to believe the hype about this one man who possibly lived centuries ago. Even after becoming a follower of Yeshua, I assumed believing in His resurrection was based on my faith in Him.”
After researching and analyzing the evidence, Jacob is now able to echo the sentiments of the former Chief Justice in England Lord Charles Darling:
“No intelligent jury in the world could fail to bring in a verdict that the resurrection story is true.”
As if he were speaking to a jury, Jacob lays out his evidence in an easy-to-follow, yet persuasive and thoroughly documented manner. An abridged version of this book is available in a 54 page booklet entitled A Lawyer’s Case for the Resurrection that focuses on the life, death, and resurrection of Yeshua, the Messiah. Extremely prominent trial attorneys and businessmen have offered favorable reviews and have used such words as “an irrefutable case,” “excellent read,” “I loved it,” “one of the best”, and “extremely persuasive.”
