A Time to Rejoice ... and dress up in a Purim costume! Be a Queen Esther, the King, or Mordekhi look-a-likes! Bring your kids, grandkids, and neighbor kids to join the fun. Enter the Chili contest to win a prize! And don’t forget the Hamantaschen! (See Purim recipes on our recipe page under Education.) Don’t have time to bake? No hassle, just pick some up from Whole Foods/Trader Joe’s and bring. You can even order them on the Internet!
- 2:30-4:00 – Carnival Games in the Foyer!! Coloring & Crafts Fun for the whole family! Gift shop open.
- 3:30-4:00 – Chili Judging (have your entry submitted by 3:00 p.m.)
- 4:00-4:30 – Costume Parade (prizes for best costume)
- 4:30-5:00 – Purim songs and dance
- 5:00-5:30 – Purim Schpiel Puppets
- 5:30-6:30 – Let's eat! What to Bring.
- 6:30 p.m. – To complete your party experience, everyone helps in cleanup to keep our home beautiful.
Annual Purim Chili Contest:
Cook your best chili recipe at home and bring it hot in a crock pot. Must be made fresh from scratch. Chili will be judged on aroma, appearance, texture, taste and aftertaste. Prize will be awarded for the winning entry. Contest Entry Form.
